My work in the Sheldon lab at UTK is focused on dung beetle behavior and ecophysiology. Some of the cool species I am studying are Phanaeus vindex and Onthophagus taurus. In this picture we are looking at dung beetle behavior in response to temperature changes.

My work at CWRU is related to butterfly thermal physiology, conservation, and habitat suitability modeling. I studied species physiological tolerances to determine their vulnerability to climate change, and I also explored how absence of larval host plants could limit butterfly distributions under future climate change.

At JCU I studied thermal physiology and population decline of the tropical salamander Bolitoglossa altamazonica in Colombia.
